For independent shops

Loyalty cards for independent shops and boutiques

For an independent shop whose regulars pop back often, a card that rewards coming back is simpler to run than one that counts spend. NextStamp gives your shop a digital stamp card that customers keep on their phone. They scan the QR poster at the till, your team approves a stamp when they buy something, and a reward lands on the card after the number of visits you choose.

It suits gift shops, bookshops, delis and boutiques, anywhere people pop back regularly and the staff know their faces.

When visits suit a shop better than points

Big retailers run points because their tills track every pound. A small shop gets more from a card that anyone can understand at a glance.

  • Nothing to work out at the till

One stamp for a visit with a purchase, a reward at the end. Staff don’t convert spend into points while a queue builds.

  • Fair to small baskets

Someone who pops in every week for a card or a bag of coffee fills the card as quickly as someone who buys more on each visit.

  • Separate from your tills

NextStamp doesn’t connect to your card machine or stock system. Staff take payment as usual, then approve the stamp on the NextStamp till in a browser.

  • When points fit better

If one customer spends a little and the next spends a lot, a stamp per visit can feel unfair to the big spender. Points that count spend suit that shop better, and NextStamp doesn’t run points.

  • Names, not numbers

When a request comes in, the till shows the customer’s name, so the person serving can greet them properly.

Reward ideas for shops

Choose something staff can hand over without checking with anyone.

  • A small gift from the shelves

A card, a candle or a sample of a new line, chosen by you and named on the card.

  • Gift wrapping on the house

Popular before birthdays and holidays, and it costs you paper and a few minutes.

  • Money off the next visit

Simple to explain, and it brings the customer straight back to spend it.

  • A welcome for first-timers

A welcome stamp or reward when someone joins, so the card never starts empty.

Quiet weekdays and the long gaps between visits

Shops often have days when the door barely opens. Double stamps give customers a reason to choose those days: pick the weekdays, and every stamp given on them earns a bonus stamp automatically.

Some customers come in a few times a year, and it’s easy to lose them without noticing. A “we miss you” campaign puts a gift on the card of anyone who hasn’t visited for as long as you choose, with a note from the shop.

Questions, answered

Should a shop reward visits or spending?

Visits, if your regulars come back often and spend about the same each time, because a stamp per visit is simpler at the till. If baskets vary a lot and your till counts spend, points may suit you better.

Does it work with my card machine or till system?

It works beside them without connecting to either. Customers pay the way they always do, and staff approve the stamp on the NextStamp till.

Can online orders earn stamps?

Not automatically, because your team gives stamps in person at the till. For an order collected in the shop, the customer can scan the poster at collection. An owner or manager can also add a stamp from the customer’s page.

What reward works for a gift shop or boutique?

A small gift from the shelves, free gift wrapping or money off the next visit. Pick something your team can give without asking a manager.

Can one card cover two shops?

Yes. Add each shop as an outlet with its own till poster. Customers collect on the same card at both, and a ready reward can be used at either.
