Loyalty apps for small businesses

The loyalty app your customers never have to download

Most small businesses don’t need a loyalty app of their own. Scanning a code at the counter takes a regular a few seconds. An app asks for more: find it in the app store, wait for the download, make room on the home screen and sign in, all for one shop.

NextStamp gives you the thing the app was for: a loyalty card that’s always on the customer’s phone. The card opens in the browser from your QR poster, and every card a customer collects sits together in their NextStamp account.

What the app would have done, and what does it now

  • Notifications

A card added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet alerts the customer when a reward is ready or a gift lands. Without the pass, customers see what’s new when they open the card, and the till shows your team any reward that’s ready.

  • A place for the card

Customers keep the cards from every business in one NextStamp account and can sign in from any browser to see them.

  • Offers

Campaigns put a gift, bonus stamps or double stamps on the card itself, where customers find them the next time they look. None of it goes through an inbox.

  • A home-screen shortcut for staff

Add NextStamp to the home screen of the counter phone or tablet and it opens full screen, like an app, straight into your business.

When your own app does make sense

A large chain with mobile ordering, payments and a marketing team can get real use out of a custom app. For a café, salon or shop that runs on regulars, the loyalty card is the part customers actually use.

Starting in the browser keeps that part simple. If you add more later, you still won’t have to ask a single customer to install anything.

Questions, answered

Is NextStamp an app?

It’s a web app. Customers and your team use it in the browser, so there’s nothing to find in an app store. Staff can add it to the home screen to open it full screen.

How do customers hear about rewards without an app?

They see it the next time they open the card, and your team sees a ready reward on the till when they come in. A card added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet also alerts them on the phone. NextStamp doesn’t send emails or texts for campaigns.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, on any smartphone with a browser, and customers can add their card to Apple Wallet on an iPhone or Google Wallet on Android.

What do I need at the counter?

A phone, tablet or computer with a browser. Your team signs in and opens the till, and you don’t need special hardware or anything installed.

Where do customers find their card later?

In their NextStamp account. They sign in from any browser, and every card they collect sits there with its stamps and rewards. Scanning your poster again opens it too.
