Find your cards and show your code
Your cards in My cards, showing your code at the till, adding a card to a wallet, and removing a card.
Every card you collect with NextStamp lives in one place, My cards, whichever business it’s from. This article shows where to find them, how to show a card at the till, how to add one to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet and how to remove one.
Open My cards
Sign in at nextstamp.app and tap My cards in the tab bar at the bottom. If you haven’t joined a card yet, it says so and offers Scan a poster.
The screen shows:
- Ready to use: rewards you can use now, the soonest to expire first, each with its business and use-by date. Gifts from a business are marked “Gift”. Tap one to show your card at the till.
- Your cards, one at a time: swipe sideways to move between them, and the dots underneath show how many you have. Under the card you’re looking at are its progress, such as “3 of 10 stamps · 7 more to A free coffee”, and Show card. Then come its treats along the way in stamp order, ticked once you’ve collected them and highlighted when they’re next, and whether a gift has arrived, double stamps are on or your stamps have a deadline. A deal the business is running shows there too, with its price and when it’s on. A card to the side with a reward waiting shows a gift badge with the number ready.
A card’s own screen
Tap a card to open it:
- Show card, for the staff to scan.
- Ready to use, the rewards on this card you can use now.
- Rewards on this card: every reward the card gives, in stamp order, with the ones you’ve collected this round ticked and how many stamps to go to the next. If the business has changed the card since you started it, a note says what your next card brings: the card you’re on keeps what it started with until it’s full.
- Milestones, if the card has lifetime tiers: each one, its reward, and how many stamps you have left to reach it.
- About this card: its description, rules and terms, and when you joined.
- Contact: the business’s email, phone and website.
- Leave a review, if the business has a review page. You write it on Google or Tripadvisor, under your own account there.
- Activity: every stamp, reward and change, in plain words.
Show your card at the till
Tap Show card. Your phone shows a QR code and a code underneath in three groups of four characters, with “Show this at the counter”. The screen stays bright while it’s open. The staff scan it to add stamps or use a reward. If their camera can’t read it, they can type the code.
The code only opens your card for you and for the staff at that business. It holds no name, email or stamp count.
Add a card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet
On an iPhone, an iPad or Safari on a Mac, a card’s screen shows Add to Apple Wallet; on Android it shows Add to Google Wallet. Tap it to add the pass. It updates by itself as you collect stamps, and the staff can scan it straight from the pass. Once it’s added, the button says “In Apple Wallet ✓”, or View in Google Wallet.
The business can then alert you on the pass when a reward is ready, a gift arrives, double stamps start, a deal starts (in Google Wallet), or a reward is about to expire. You can turn alerts off in your wallet app. Your card works in the browser too, with or without the pass.
To remove a pass, open it in your wallet app and remove it. Your card stays in My cards.
Remove a card
If you don’t want a card any more:
- Open the card and tap Remove from my cards at the bottom.
- Confirm with Remove card.
The card leaves My cards and collects no more stamps. Any request waiting at the till is cancelled. Your stamps and rewards are kept: scan the business’s poster again to bring the card back. To take your details away from every business, delete your account instead; see manage or delete your account.
Can’t find a card?
- Check you’re signed in with the same email you joined with.
- A card you removed comes back when you scan the business’s poster again.
- “This card isn’t in your wallet” means the link is for a card that was removed, or for someone else’s card.
