Choose who works at each outlet

When you run more than one outlet, each person on your team works at some or all of them. Their outlets decide which till requests they see and answer, which customers they can serve, and which posters and numbers they can open. It keeps a busy branch from being interrupted by another branch’s customers.

Who works where by default

• Owners and admins work at every outlet, always, including ones you open later.
• Managers and staff work at the outlets ticked for them when they were invited, or at all of them if you chose All outlets, and any you open later.

Choose someone’s outlets

Owners and admins set outlets for managers and staff:

1. Go to Settings → Team and tap the person.
2. Under Outlets, tick the places they work, or All outlets, and any you open later.
3. Tap Save.

With one outlet, there’s nothing to choose. When you add a second outlet, people ticked for only the first keep working just there, so tick the new one for anyone who should work at both.

What their outlets change

• The till. They can open the till only for their outlets, and the outlet picker lists only those.
• Requests. A customer’s request goes to the outlet of the poster or tag they used, so only that outlet’s team, on devices working its till, sees and answers it.
• Posters and tap tags. Managers can create and manage them only at their outlets.
• Insights. A manager limited to some outlets sees only those outlets’ numbers, under All my outlets.
• Stamps and rewards. Everything they approve is recorded at the outlet their till is working.

Customers themselves aren’t tied to an outlet: someone who collects stamps in two of your places is one customer with one card, and every outlet where the card works can serve them.

Filter the team by outlet

With several outlets, the Team screen has filter chips at the top: Everyone, and one per outlet with how many people work there. Tap an outlet to see who works at it, headed “Working at” and the outlet.

If a person has no outlet

Someone with no outlets can sign in, but the till tells them they have no outlet to work at yet and to ask an admin. Tick an outlet for them in Settings → Team.

Outlets for cards

Where a person works is separate from where a card works. A card limited to one outlet only takes stamps there, whoever is at the till. See choose the outlets where a card works, and for adding and archiving places, add, edit and archive outlets.
