Outlets and team

Add, edit and archive outlets

Add each place customers collect stamps, pin it on the map for wallet passes, and archive or restore it later.

Updated

An outlet is a place where customers collect stamps and use rewards: a shop, a café, a salon chair or a market stall. Every till poster, tap tag and stamp belongs to an outlet, so even a business with one place needs one. If you run several, see how NextStamp handles them in loyalty across more than one location.

Add an outlet

Owners and admins add outlets from the Overview:

  1. Scroll to Outlets and tap Add an outlet.
  2. Fill in the Outlet name, which customers see, such as “Main Street”, then the Street address, City, Postcode and Country, a two-letter code such as GB or ES.
  3. Tap Add outlet.

Each outlet shows in the list with its name, street and city. Managers and staff see the list but can’t change it.

A new outlet picks up every card set to work at Every outlet, and any you open later. It still needs a till poster for each card before customers there can ask for stamps; each card’s Posters section says which outlets are missing one.

Edit an outlet

Tap an outlet to open it, change its details and tap Save. The outlet’s name appears at the top of the scan screen, on its posters and on the till, so keep it short and recognisable.

Pin it on the map

In the outlet’s sheet, the pin box says “Not on the map yet” until you pin it. Stand inside the outlet and tap Pin it where I am; your browser asks to use your location. Once pinned, it says “Pinned on the map”, with Pin it here again and Unpin.

Pinning lets customers’ wallet passes come up when they’re near the outlet, for cards that work there: Apple Wallet on the lock screen, Google Wallet as a nearby reminder. NextStamp only uses the location you pin; it never tracks your team or your customers.

Each outlet can have its own Google and Tripadvisor review links, set in Settings → Reviews. See ask for Google and Tripadvisor reviews.

Archive an outlet

When you close a place, or stop using NextStamp there, archive it:

  1. Open the outlet and tap Archive this outlet.
  2. Confirm.

The outlet leaves the till and every list, and its posters are paused, as are its tap tags. Requests waiting there end. Stamps and rewards customers earned there are kept, and everything that happened there stays in Insights.

Restore an outlet

Archived outlets appear under Archived outlets at the end of the list. Tap Restore beside one to bring it back. Its posters stay paused until you resume them on each card’s page, so nothing starts working again by surprise.

Outlets and your team

Owners and admins work at every outlet. Managers and staff work at the outlets you tick for them, or all of them. Each device’s till works for one outlet at a time and only hears that outlet’s requests. See choose who works at each outlet.

Outlets and cards

A card can work at every outlet or only the ones you tick, for its stamps and its rewards alike. See choose the outlets where a card works. Your plan sets how many outlets you can have; see plans and billing.
