Plans and billing
Free, Starter and Growth: what each plan allows, your 30-day trial, choosing or switching a plan, and paying through Stripe.
Every new business gets 30 days with Growth’s limits. After that, you pick a paid plan or carry on with Free. Whatever you choose, your customers won’t notice: collecting stamps and using rewards never depends on your plan. See what each plan costs.
The three plans
Every plan has every feature: the till, posters, tap tags, wallet passes, campaigns, deals, Insights and the review button, with as many team members as you like. The plans differ only in how many outlets and cards you can run, and in Free’s limit on customers.
| Free | Starter | Growth | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outlets | 1 | 1 | 3 included, more for an extra charge each |
| Loyalty cards | 1 | 3 | 10 |
| Customers | Up to 50 | No limit | No limit |
| Team members | No limit | No limit | No limit |
You pay for Starter and Growth monthly or yearly, and prices include VAT where it applies.
Your trial
Your trial starts the moment you create your business. There’s nothing to choose and no card to enter. Settings → Plan & billing shows how many days you have left. If you haven’t picked a plan by the end, your business moves to Free. Nothing gets deleted and you’re never locked out: outlets and cards beyond Free’s limits keep working, you just can’t add more.
Choosing a plan
On Plan & billing, pick Monthly or Yearly, then Choose Starter or Choose Growth. Stripe, our payment provider, opens to take your card, so NextStamp never sees its number. When you come back, Plan & billing shows your plan as soon as Stripe confirms it, usually within seconds.
Choosing during your trial doesn’t cut it short: Stripe takes the first payment when the trial ends. With under 2 days of trial left, it takes the payment straight away instead.
Only your business’s owner sees Plan & billing. Admins and managers see notices about the plan on the Overview, such as a trial that’s about to end.
Growth and your outlets
Growth includes 3 outlets. To open more, raise Outlets paid for on Plan & billing. Each outlet past 3 costs extra, and Stripe adds the difference to your next invoice. You can’t pay for fewer outlets than you have open, so archive one first.
Starter covers 1 outlet. A business with more open outlets archives some before it can choose Starter.
Switching plan or billing period
On a paid plan, Switch to Growth or Switch to Starter changes it at once, and Stripe credits what’s left of the old plan on your next invoice. If you move between monthly and yearly, Stripe charges the new period straight away and credits what’s left of the old one. During your trial, it charges nothing until the trial ends.
Your card, invoices and cancelling
Manage billing opens Stripe’s billing page. There you can change your card, download invoices and receipts, update your billing details and VAT number, or cancel. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, then your business moves to Free. Until then, Keep my plan on Plan & billing undoes the cancellation.
If a payment fails
Your plan carries on while Stripe tries the payment again. A notice on the Overview and on Plan & billing asks you to update your card with Update payment method. If every retry fails, the plan ends and your business moves to Free.
Free’s customer limit
On Free, when your business reaches 50 customers, new customers can still join for another 14 days, and a notice shows how long is left. After that, new customers can’t join your cards until you choose a paid plan, and Plan & billing counts how many tried. Customers already on your cards keep collecting stamps and using their rewards, and they can still join your other cards.
Deleting your business
Deleting a business ends its plan at once, with no refund for the time that’s left. Stripe keeps the invoices you’ve already paid. See delete your account or your business.
Several businesses
Each business has its own plan and its own billing. One account can own up to 10 businesses. See a tour of the business app for switching between them.
