The principles NextStamp is built on
The rules NextStamp keeps: a person approves every stamp, no spam, consent on record, fair reviews and data customers can delete.
NextStamp is built for independent businesses and the people who come back to them. A few rules shape every part of it. They aren’t promises on a poster: each one is how the product behaves, and this article points to where you can see it. For why businesses choose NextStamp over paper cards, see why NextStamp exists.
A person approves every stamp
Scanning a poster never adds a stamp by itself. A scan of the till poster, or a tap on a tag, only sends a request, and someone on your team approves it at the till. That keeps your cards honest: a photo of your poster can’t fill cards on the other side of town, and your regulars know a full card was earned. How NextStamp stops stamp fraud goes through the safeguards.
Your customers’ inboxes stay theirs
NextStamp doesn’t send marketing emails or texts, for you or for itself. Campaign gifts land on the customer’s card, and on their Apple Wallet or Google Wallet pass if they added one. When a customer agrees to hear offers from your business, NextStamp records that choice with the exact words they saw, and they can switch it off in their account at any time. Offer emails and customer consent has the details.
The rules are shown before anyone joins
Customers see your card’s limits, expiry and terms before they join, beside the button that joins them. When you change a live card, NextStamp tells you what applies to everyone at once and what only applies to rounds started afterwards, so nobody loses stamps they already hold. Edit a live card: drafts and publishing explains it.
Reviews are asked for fairly
The “Leave a review” button goes straight to Google or Tripadvisor. Everyone is asked the same way, and nothing is ever given for a review, because both platforms forbid it. Insights counts taps on the button and never claims to count reviews. See ask for Google and Tripadvisor reviews.
Customers can leave, and take their name with them
A customer can remove a card from their phone whenever they like. Deleting their NextStamp account signs them out everywhere and takes their name and email away from every business they joined. Businesses keep a record of visits and rewards used, without anything that says who the person was. Customer data: what’s kept and who sees it explains what stays and what goes.
People see only what their work needs
Each person on your team has their own account, a role and the outlets they work at. Staff don’t see customers’ names and emails unless you allow it, and a till only hears requests from its own outlet. Roles: owner, admin, manager and staff sets it out.
Your numbers are your own
Insights is built from your own stamps, visits and rewards. There are no benchmarks against other businesses and no invented figures, and the CSV download holds totals without any customer details. Read your numbers in Insights describes each figure.
It works beside what you already have
NextStamp doesn’t connect to your till system or card machine, and it doesn’t need to. Any phone, tablet or computer with a browser can be the till, and customers only need their phone’s camera.
Plain words, everywhere
What your team reads on the till and what customers read on their phones is written in plain language, and so is this help centre. If something here isn’t clear, tell us at support@nextstamp.app.
