Create and publish your first card
Name your card, choose how many stamps fill it and what they win, add terms, and publish it so customers can join.
A card is the heart of NextStamp: how many stamps fill it, what they win, and the rules customers agree to. Owners and admins create and edit cards. This article walks through the first one. For ideas on what to offer and why, see the loyalty card maker guide.
Start a new card
- Open Overview and, under Loyalty cards, tap New card.
- Enter a Card name that customers will recognise, such as “Coffee Card”.
- Tap Create and design it.
The card editor opens as a draft. Customers can’t see or join it until you publish. Beside the form, a Preview shows the card as customers will see it, with a sample of stamps filled in, and What customers see before joining.
The card
The first section holds the essentials:
- Card name. Shown on the card and on your posters.
- Short description (optional). Up to 90 characters on the front of the card, for example “Every tenth coffee is on us”.
- Stamps to fill the card. From 1 to 100; new cards start at 10. The reward comes with the last stamp.
- Reward for a full card. What the customer gets, such as “A free coffee”. A card can’t be published without one.
- How long customers have to use the reward. Never expires, or 1, 3 or 6 months, or 1 year after it’s earned. Customers see the use-by date on their card.
The other sections
The editor is one form, in this order. Each has its own article:
- Rewards along the way and New customers: treats before the card is full and a head start for newcomers. See rewards along the way and welcome stamps.
- Where it works: shown when you have two or more outlets. See choose the outlets where a card works.
- Reviews: whether the card shows a “Leave a review” button. See ask for Google and Tripadvisor reviews.
- Limits & rules: stamps per visit and per day, and card expiry. See stamp limits per visit and per day and set a card to expire.
- Look: how the card looks, designed on its own screen. See design your loyalty card.
- Terms: below.
Terms
Card terms are optional. They’re your own conditions, which customers accept when they join, for example “Rewards can’t be exchanged for cash. One card per person.” You don’t need to repeat the card’s limits or expiry: customers already see those beside the terms.
Save or publish
At the end of the form:
- Save draft keeps your work. “Saved. Customers won’t see it until you publish.”
- Publish checks every rule first. If something doesn’t add up, such as more stamps a visit than a day allows, it tells you what to fix. Otherwise the card goes live, and the page says: “Your card is live. Next: print your till poster so customers can scan it.”
Once a card is live, its page gains Posters and Tap tags sections. Start with the till poster: print and manage your posters explains where to put it.
After it’s live
The card’s page shows “Live since” and the date. Tap Edit card to start a new draft; customers keep seeing the live card until you publish again. Edit a live card: drafts and publishing explains which changes reach existing customers straight away. Managers and staff can open the card and see its rules, but only owners and admins can change it.
