Setting up your loyalty card

Run more than one card

How several cards share your outlets, posters, till and customers, and how a request always stays on its own card.

Updated

One card suits most businesses, but you can run more: a coffee card and a lunch card, or a card for your new shop alone. Each card has its own stamps, rewards, rules, tiers, posters and campaigns, and customers hold each one separately. This article covers how several cards share your outlets and your till.

Add another card

Owners and admins add cards from Overview → Loyalty cards → New card. Design and publish it like the first one; see create and publish your first card. Your plan sets how many cards you can run at once; see plans and billing.

Posters: one per card, per outlet

A till poster, and a tap tag, belongs to one card at one outlet. So two cards at two outlets need four till posters. Each card’s Posters section names the outlets where it works but has no till poster yet, so you can see what’s missing at a glance.

Put each card’s till poster where customers will know which one to scan, and label them clearly if they sit side by side. A request is always for the card on the poster or tag the customer used.

Which outlets each card works at

Every card can work at every outlet, or only the ones you tick. This is set per card, so the lunch card might work only where you serve lunch. See choose the outlets where a card works.

At the till

  • Scanning a customer’s card opens that card. Each card a customer holds has its own code, so if they have two of yours, ask which one they’re showing, or scan the one for what they bought.
  • Requests arrive as usual. When the till’s Waiting and Just now lists mix cards, each row names its card.
  • One request per card. A card has one live request at a time, at one outlet. If a customer asks at another outlet, or is given stamps there, the request left behind is cancelled.

For customers

Customers see each card as its own tile in My cards, with its own progress and rewards. Joining one card doesn’t join them to the others: each poster shows its own card’s rules and terms first.

Campaigns, tiers and Insights

  • Campaigns are set for one card each. When you have several cards, the new-campaign sheet asks On which card. See bring customers back with campaigns.
  • Lifetime tiers belong to a card, and count only its stamps.
  • Insights can be filtered by card, and shows a split by card, so you can compare them. See read your numbers in Insights.

Stopping a card

To stop a card giving stamps at one outlet, publish it away from that outlet. To stop new sign-ups at a poster, pause or retire the poster. Customers always keep the stamps and rewards they’ve collected. See print and manage your posters.
